Hello. This is not an issue but a suggestion to improve the desktop video player.

There is a new Gradle plugin called vlc-setup for Compose Multiplatform to automatically prepare and embed VLC plugin files in the app.
Also, this project shows a real-world example using the plugin and implementing the media player.
