My Windows has a problem with the 2.3 release

My Windows is positive there's files in here it doesn't want (infected) and so whenever I try to run it, it breaks. I can place the files but as soon as I try to run the batch file it just immediately closes again and running in admin it says it's missing a file.

Windows can prevent scripts or programs from running. There are a number of things that you might need to try to get it running.
I'd suggest that you use ChatGPT or Grok to help you troubleshoot the issue.

Whenever I tell it to create the patched common.lvl, it just doesn't. It gives me an error about a file not existing, which I believe it refers to the common.lvl you have to move, which I have done.

Where did you copy it to?
The original common.lvl should be copied to "Battle\addon2\0\base_common.lvl_goes_in_here\common.lvl"

Then run the "Apply_patch.bat" batch file from the 'addon2\0' folder.

Which should then generate "Battle\addon2\0\common.lvl" that you manually copy back to "Battle\data2\lvl_common\common.lvl"
