Using the Directory node, is there any way to exclude hidden files?

Is there any way to exclude hidden files? I want to exclude hidden files and it would be useful to have an option tto allow you to exclude them.

The fs-ops node is a wrapper around many of the functions in Node's file system library, which in turn is a wrapper around the standard POSIX filesystem functions. Under Linux there is not an attribute for a hidden file but a convention that files with names starting with a '.' are considered hidden. This is handled by the application by filtering the list of returned filenames. Under Windows there is a specific file attribute for hidden files but it is not supported in the POSIX library. The only way to identify a hidden file in Windows is to try to open it using the 'w' flag and checking if an EPERM error is returned.
