Is there any existing MistServer module for WHMCS?

Hi! I would like to check if there is any existing integration or module available to connect MistServer with WHMCS.

I’m looking for a way to automate service provisioning (create/suspend/terminate) through WHMCS using MistServer’s API. Before starting to develop a custom module from scratch, I wanted to ask whether:

an official WHMCS module already exists,

there is any community-developed module that is not publicly listed, or

the MistServer team has any recommended approach or best practices for WHMCS integration.

Any guidance, documentation, or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I don't think we've added anything specifically with WHMCS and I'm not aware of any modules created. I'll also have to admit I've never worked with it, so I'm not entirely sure what best practices would be.

I'd be happy to answer any questions though, I've been slowly updating our documentation and making it a tad more usable. (Also planning a complete re-ordering to make things more clear, but that's way further down the line). So I'd probably be able to give you some pointers or tell you which calls to use in what scenario.

We've also wanted to bring out an APIv3 for quite a while that is much cleaner than the current one, but we're not there yet.

Some tips I'd give:

• There's a few options that can only be set through bootparameters (Which UDP api port is used, or whether to allow changes to the server through editing the configuration file or where the configuration file is located)
• The default behaviour for MistServer is to read any changes to the configuration file and apply those. So you can actually only perform changes to the config file and not care about the API. The config file is a JSON blob, we don't care whether it is single line or not as long as it's valid JSON. When MistServer saves the configuration it will make it single line JSON however.
• The interface only uses the API, so you could use that as an example, I'd recommend opening the developer console and looking at what is send/received as well as looking at the API call documentation and some example implementations here
• For general server statistics you might be best off using the Prometheus endpoint. While it won't show stream specific information it has good server state, streams active and active connections stats.
