Wrong thread-starter shown in overview

DFeed is showing the wrong thread starter for https://forum.dlang.org/thread/aIO7fh4GkN5SDZxH@qfbox.info:

My guess is that qfbox.info breaks threading in some way that our best effort of reconstructing the thread falls a little short. In any case, there is probably not much we can do, as this is the wild wild west of the Internet with all possibilities of broken email messages being plausible.

But it’s fine in the thread overview on the thread’s page.

If DFeed can correctly determine the first post of the thread, how does it end up picking a different post for displaying a thread-starter in the newsgroup overview?

The results are different because the queries are different. One query is more expensive than the other.
