Quasi-mapping and gene fusion detection

Hello! Thanks a lot for the great project, quasi-mapping is wicked fast! 
I am looking for the information regarding usage of quasi-mapping in the context of gene fusion detection. Does RapMap allow for detection of split and spanning reads?
