Describe the bug

Hello,

BluePilot lists support for 2020–2022 Hyundai Ioniq HEV, however my 2022 Ioniq HEV (stock) was not recognized correctly until I added a missing EPS (MDPS) fingerprint.

Without this fingerprint, BluePilot does not work on my vehicle. With the single added line, the system functions normally.

The EPS on my vehicle reports a generic Hyundai part string (56310-xx000), which was not present in the fingerprint list.

Required addition in opendbc/car/hyundai/fingerprints.py under CAR.HYUNDAI_IONIQ_HEV_2022:

This change only affects fingerprint matching and allows the existing Hyundai control logic to run; it does not modify tuning or behavior.

Because this change is local, updates currently overwrite it, requiring updates to be disabled. If this fingerprint can be included upstream, I can re-enable updates and continue testing normally.

I would also appreciate an invite to the BluePilot Discord if possible, as I am actively testing and tuning Hyundai behavior.

BluePilot is specifically for Ford vehicles. The listed support is likely due to this being a fork of SunnyPilot. You should post any issues on their GitHub page.

I do not know why i did not get an alert that you has posted an issue, I apologize for the delay in response.

While BluePilot is focused on Ford, we do attempt to ensure it works on other vehicles, so that someone who owns a ford and another vehicle can use their device in both cars without having to resintall.

That being said, we typically do not spend time updating fingeprints, because you can manually select what you are driving from the "vehicle" menu. Simply tap the gear icon to open the menu, scroll the "vehicle" tab on the left, and then use the screen to select the vehicle you are installed on.
