What real-world problem are you addressing? (Societal, personal, climate-related, etc.)
We’ve all experienced the frustration of searching endlessly for the right information—only to feel even more overwhelmed and lost. Whether it’s navigating through numerous documents or waiting on delayed responses, getting timely support can often be a challenging and exhausting process.
This challenge is common everywhere, as Student Ambassadors, who frequently require quick and reliable information to effectively carry out our roles. Spending valuable time digging through scattered resources not only slows us down but also takes away from what truly matters: engaging our peers and making a meaningful impact. (force for good!)

That's where this solution comes in. I've built an Intelligent Chatbot (Question-and-Answer) app designed specifically for Student Ambassadors (or students who want to get in)

This solution leverages the power of Microsoft azd templates - a collection of application code (samples) and azd configuration files that can be used to quickly customize and deploy production-ready applications to Azure. It ensures that finding help and information is as seamless and efficient as possible. With this solution, Student Ambassadors can get instant answers to their questions, access relevant resources, and navigate their responsibilities with confidence —all within a single, user-friendly interface.

Here is the particular template used.
- How you're modifying or extending it
It wasn't really complicated! The first thing I did was to try to understand the codebase (to a point, I can't say completely). I haven't written JS/TS for a while now but Thank God - Copilot was right there all the way! By extending the template, I transformed a generic AI chatbot into a targeted tool that empowers Student Ambassadors to spend less time searching and more time leading, connecting, and creating impact.

Integrating relevant student ambassador documentation and FAQs into the app’s backend,
Deploying the chatbot to Azure using azd commands and services such as Azure App Service, Azure OpenAI, and AI Search,
Modifying the front-end to create a branded, student-focused experience, and Enabling natural language querying to ensure fast, accurate responses.
It's solves the problem (like, it implements the solution), yes, it's not the only one (I remembered I checked out a few too), I just tried to look at the resources I knew I needed or familiar (to some point) with.
