Description

The current landing sequence is okay, but it could be improved and made a little more true-to-life. Currently it feels rushed. Could be extended more for a cinematic effect.

Details

Arrival

  • Add a slightly more circuitous route for the helicopter to land, potentially looping around the desired helipad.
  • After landing, the engines remain on.
  • At least a 15-30 second wait before side-door open.
  • Crew chief gets out, heads to the back of the aircraft.
  • Aircraft engines begin to shutdown.
  • Crew Chief does a "talking on radio" animation.
  • After a short delay, the cargo door opens.
  • The Crew Chief makes a hand-motion.
  • The Cargo Crate ejects (preferably smoothly, with linearConversion?)
  • 'Order to Depart' action is added to the Crew Chief.

Departure

  • Ranking-player talks to the Crew Chief, orders departure.
  • Crew Chief does a "talking on radio" animation.
  • Crew Chief moves to the cargo door-
  • Crew Chief animate? (waiting, watching, doing something?)
  • Cargo Crate retracts smoothly back into the helicopter (see above, linearConversion?)
  • Crew Chief begins to move to his mounting point.
  • Helicopter engines turn on.
  • Crew Chief mounts into helicopter (with animation).
  • A short delay (10 to 12 sec.) for the Crew Chief to get situated.
  • Side door will shut.
  • Another short delay (15 to 30 sec.) for the Crew Chief to help secure the cargo.
  • Rear cargo door will shut.
  • Another short delay (15 to 30 sec.) for final flight check.
  • Lift off.
