Currently, the steady state solver code is rarely used (because not really documented), although steady-state (sensitivity) computation via solving (non-)linear equations has the potential to speed up some things dramatically. Quite some things in the code may be improved and more clear (see issues related to this milestone), without actually making the routines more complex.

No due date•0/3 issues closedWe are on a good track to be able to compile models without doing any additional symbolic processing. The only thing still needed is finite difference approximations for derivatives such as dxdotdx and dxdotdp. If implemented, this would pave the way for compilation of substantially larger models, probably at the cost of a bit of run-time.
